We attended the EIT Urban Mobility Summer School in Bari/Italy

SUM Research Group Manager Gürkan Çelik successfully represented our laboratory by attending the EIT Urban Mobility Summer School held in Bari, Italy, from September 4 to 12. Co funded by the European Union and organized in partnership with Ghent University and Politecnico di Bari, this training provided an invaluable vision for rethinking mobility in car dependent cities.

This intensive ten day program served as a "living lab" experience, exploring innovative solutions such as the SIAMUS artificial intelligence platform for smart urban planning and the award winning ENEA Bari student project, which provides zero emission mobility for seniors. This prestigious training not only broadened our academic perspective but also allowed us to build crucial international networks.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Prof. Dr. Giovanni Circella, the architect of this event, which was realized with a vision of sustainable, inclusive, and human centered mobility. We aim to reflect the tangible outcomes and insights gained here into our upcoming projects within the SUM Lab as soon as possible.
